Tout comme le Made in Japan de Deep Purple, SCORPIONS, qui est en 1978 un groupe déifié chez les Japonais, profite d’une tournée triomphale pour sortir un double live gigantesque enregistrée en 1978 au Sun Plaza Hall de Tokyo, un album live qui reprend tous les standards du SCORPIONS Mark I avec le grand Uli Jon Roth à la guitare. Le groupe y reprend également deux classique du rock des 50’s, "long tall sally" de Little Richards et "hound dog" du King Elvis.
